ABOUT

A note from Lucy

ANKOA has always been a dream.

A dream to create beautiful things with my hands, to live a little slower, and to build a life where creativity and family could exist side by side.

I've always been drawn to the stories that objects carry. Vintage linens softened by decades of use. A hand-stitched dress passed between generations. Sun-faded fabrics, wild gardens, old homes, open air, worn books, and the feeling of discovering something that already has a history. Those are the places where my inspiration begins.

Every ANKOA collection grows from that feeling.

I don't create around trends or seasons. I create when something moves me, a colour found in nature, a treasured antique textile, a memory from childhood, a place I've wandered, or a moment I want to hold onto a little longer.

I believe clothing should be lived in. It should gather memories, become softer with time, and feel as beautiful years from now as it does the day it arrives. That's why I choose to make pieces in small quantities, taking the time to focus on thoughtful details and garments that feel timeless rather than temporary.

Alongside the core ANKOA pieces, I've always loved sourcing vintage and making one-of-a-kind treasures. There's something incredibly special about giving a beautiful piece another life and knowing it's story will continue with someone new.

ANKOA has never been about creating more for the sake of more. It's about creating less, but creating it with intention. It's about surrounding ourselves with things that feel meaningful, celebrating craftsmanship, embracing imperfections, and finding beauty in everyday rituals.

More than anything, I hope the pieces I create become part of your own story.

The dress you wore barefoot on holiday. The blouse that reminds you of your Grandmother. The set you reach for every summer. The pieces that witness birthdays, dinners with friends, slow mornings, long afternoons, and ordinary days that somehow become the ones you remember most.

Thank you for being here and for allowing ANKOA to become part of your world.

It truly means more than you know
